Fast food ads targeting children are contributing to the obesity epidemic. According to a recent study*, banning tv fast food advertising would reduce the number of obese children by 18%. That evil Ronald McDonald is corrupting our children again. Seriously, the findings of this study are important. It shows that tv ads have an effect on childhood obesity. Food habits started as children have been shown to continue into adulthood, and obese children are likely to become obese adults. Just some food for thought about what your children are watching, so you can be a more informed parent.
